Dear IV,
Its not about me. I am planning to do a flower or some campaign that all will agree upon in less than a week. We must do before the next bulletin comes out.
Is it possible for IV to send a very good number of flowers to the departments.
i believe IV leadership has mentioned many times that 'more visa numbers' is the only solution to this mess. Which can be only done by changes in law.When IV planned some thing for it (recapture bill phone call campaign) the participation was not great.
I wonder, every one running like headless chicken solves any thing.

I have filed EB2 & EB3 with the same company (As explained earlier). EB3 as Programmer Analyst and EB2 as Database Adminstrator ( MS + 2 yrs exp.). I think it is better to take some expert attorney advice on your case. It does not hurt if you consult ( or crosscheck ) with some other attorney about your case. Most of the legal experts charge around $250 to evaluate your case and suggest.

what i dont get is..why are desis so stuck up abt GC... dont get frustrated...work the system and work with the system!
making statements like Mirage did in the beginning of this thread are pointless!!!
i think its all part of a well thought out conspiracy to:
1.) Keep the chicken in the cage: get those desis into the system and tie them up in some legal/bureaucratic loop for 10-15 yrs.. the taxes and the application fees we desis pay keeps the system running..
2.) These fixes that IV is trumpeting abt..is just chicken feed... nothing big will ever materialize...

To summarize the root causes now that we discussed:
1. Parental interference to control their own child even after marriage. This is cause no 1 of this kind of tensions.
2. Immaturity on the part of children, to let their parents control their feelings. (This is partly due to in arranged marriages, children are closer to parents than the spouse in initial years). This is no 2 issue. Children simply fail to understand they are no more part of their parents family. I honestly feel these people are not really ready for marriage or understand what marriage is.
3. Money transactions. One side expecting money from other side which is not really acceptable. I will elaborate this point a bit more.
4. In cases of couples settled in US/UK, parents know that couples are making a LOT more than by Indian standards. Hence to secure their own old age comfort, everyone tries to exert influence.
On no 3, let us separate our "legal" obligations from "moral".
Morally it is right to send money to parents, but legally it is not. As you can strive but, you wont be fair to either set of parents. Hence I believe "money" should not be sent to parents. Your parents should have planned their own future, including humanitarian needs. Only if your other half agrees, then only you should send money. Otherwise, it is your and your spouse's money.
If your parents needed monetary support then that they should have made clear to other parents at the time of marriage. Not after marriage. If its a love marriage, then the boy/girl should have clearly told this requirement to the other half.

It looks like they have heard from IV members about the spillover rules and their clarification about the QUARTERLY spillover is useful. Also them categorically stating that any spillover visas would be used in strict order of PD is reassuring. Whether they actually practice or not, it is good that they have gone on record as saying that is the way it should be.
In the past spillover was not applied in the way they are saying and EB2I suffered greatly for it.

I gave my opinion on this in past. As we are dealing "very intelligent" community, need straight forward agenda to collect donation. Vague ideas don't work for collecting donation in our community. Pappu took a nice initiative and published 5 high level agenda items. Lets analyze how much money each agenda will need and we can move forward from there.

i dont agree with you, These things are against the law.
1)
All we need is a recapture. Lets concentrate on the bills in congress and senate and get them passed. This needs very less effort than what you prescribed.
2) If 1 fails,
There is no descrimination as such, this is more of a outdated law and bureacratic delay caused wastage of numbers, lets fight it in legal system. Some asylum case won against wastage, why not ours? We have big numbers, If everyone can contribute, this will happen. Hire the same lawyer and am sure he/she wont charge more than what(if any) they charged to an asylum case....

Thanks sy. I fully agree it's the agent we deal with. My BOA loan coordinator is extremely stubborn & doesn't have any clue regarding immigration. From day 1 she is stuck on unexpired I-94 & till today she asks me to furnish that. Yesterday I went to the Local INS office after making an infopass appointment. Requested the IO to expedite my AP he looked at current processing dates for Nebraska Center Aug 15 I applied on July 20 INS process date on receipt notice August 25. He told me they would start looking at my case soon. I mentioned to him I need it expedited he asked why I showed him a letter from employer that I needed to travel outside us he said its not life death emergency. I insisted that if i didn't go I would get fired lose my job, he wait let me check with manager after 20 minutes he came back and said his manager agrees to process as emergency. He took all my original supporting documents and told me he was going to fax them to Nebraska center and also email to them. I mentioned to him that I have to leave by Feb 11 again he went to his manager and he said thats the best I can do. He took my phone number. I have not heard for INS no LUD on my case yet. If i don't leave by feb 17 kiss my job good bye. Anything else you guys recommend i can do. I also faxed the Nebraska center a request expedite still haven't hear or seen anything. :(
